REMEMBERING OUR LOVED ONES

Since all believers are bound together by the love of Christ, the dead are not beyond our love.

We are linked to the dead, just as when they were alive; and so our motivation to pray for them is love.

Light a candle in your home, recall the memory of your loved one. Pray God’s peace and rest on their soul. Pray also for yourself that God in His infinite love will give you peace of mind and heart at this time of brokenness and loss in your life.

May the Souls of all the faithful departed Rest in peace

St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Be our safeguard against the wickedness
and snares of the Devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl
about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

PASTORAL COUNCIL

Advised by and under the guidance of Jim Deeds from the Living Church Office, we have set up our Pastoral Council.

In our selection of Members, we followed the strict guidelines set down by the Diocese through the Living Church Office for the formation of the Pastoral Council. We decided on a membership of 12.  After a series of public meetings they were chosen from a group of parishioners who had submitted their names for possible membership. They represent a wide cross-section of our Parish: age, gender, Interests, abilities, etc. The job of the Pastoral Council is to help in the development of the Sacramental, Liturgical and Pastoral life of the Parish. Through our Members we will be reaching out to you, our parishioners, for your help and abilities in the development of the Pastoral life of our Parish.

Certificate Requests

Requests for copies of Baptism, Confirmation or Marriage Certificates.

All requests need to be made in writing and certificates can only be issued to those named on the record – for instance, the person who was baptised, or, in the case of someone under the age of 16, their parent or guardian. Because requests need to be signed and we need to retain a written record of all requests for access to our sacramental registers, we are unable to process requests by phone.
