FOSTERING WITHIN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

RE: FOSTERING WITHIN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. A word of thanks: ‘I just wanted to get in touch to say a big thank you to yourselves and the whole parish for all of your support, help and hospitality with the fostering promotion on Sunday. You really went above and beyond with the organising and promotion of it – very much appreciated. Sunday all went as planned and we had a few people who came to chat as well giving out over 100 fliers so hopefully we are getting the word out. Please feel pass on my thanks to Fr Dermot and let everyone who stopped to chat or took a leaflet know that it was appreciated.’ Craig.Douglas@setrust.hscni.net

Ask and you will receive

“Ask and you will receive, that your joy may overflow” (Jn 16:24)
Lord Jesus, forgive me for anything in my life, anything on my conscience, that has blocked out your joy. If I feel unworthy to be joyful, please send your Spirit to heal my sense of unworthiness.

If I feel a sense of failure which brings me low, send your Spirit to fill my sense of failure.

For when things go wrong and my days are disrupted by countless cares, Joy seems far away. Pour your Spirit on me so that I may know the joy that abides,

Not a fleeting superficial joy that changes with my moods But the precious joy in knowing that you love me always. Amen.

(The Prayer Trust).

THINKING OF FOSTERING?

Bishop Donal McKeown has asked for our assistance in promoting fostering within the Diocese. There are many struggles within families which leads to children and young people needing a loving home and a safe environment in which they can develop and thrive. Sta? from fostering teams and foster carers will be available in Pastoral Centre after 12 noon Mass today to give out lea?ets and to talk to anyone interested in fostering. Please call in and have a chat. You could possibly make a real di?erence in a child?s life.
