Shamrock Sale
ST. PATRICK’S ACADEMY: Sincere thanks to all the parishioners for their wonderful support of our Shamrock Sale on Sunday 15th March. We raised an outstanding £396.69 for our St Patrick’s PTA. This provides valuable funds for our school community helping, among other things, to fund our free breakfast club for the students. We received such a warm welcome and it was great to catch up with so many parishioners who have connections, past and present, with our school community.

PRAYER FOR A MOTHER
There is no love, like a mother’s love, no stronger bonds on earth like the precious bond that comes from God to a mother when she gives birth.
A mother’s love is forever strong; never changing for all time and when her children need her most, a mother’s love will shine.
God bless these special mothers; God bless them everyone for all their tears and heartache and for the special work they have done.
Be thankful for our mother, for they love with a higher love from the power that God has given, and the strength from up above.
Feast of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Wednesday 19th March is the Feast of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary
God, heavenly Father, look upon me and hear my prayer during this holy Season of Lent. By the good works you inspire, help me to discipline my body and be renewed in your Spirit.
Without you I can do nothing. By your Spirit help me to know what is right and to be eager in doing your will. Keep me from wrong-doing and help me to live by your commandments of love.
God of love, bring me back to you. Send your Spirit to make me strong in faith and active in good works. May my acts of penance bring me forgiveness.
Open my heart to your love and prepare me for the coming feast of the Resurrection of Jesus. Father, our source of life, I reach out with joy to grasp your hand; let me walk more readily in your ways.
Guide me in your gentle mercy, for left to myself I cannot do your will. Father of love, source of all blessings, help me to pass from my old ways to the new life of grace.
Prepare me for the glory of your Kingdom, I ask this through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.
