PATHWAYS FAITH DEVELOPMENT


THE PATHWAYS ADULT FAITH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR 2024/25 BEGINS 12 OCTOBER AT DRUMALIS.

The programme takes place one Saturday a month from 10am – 4 pm between October and June. All are welcome. Past participants may also be interested in the new programme on offer for this coming year.

In preparation for the SYNOD TAKING PLACE IN ROME IN OCTOBER, Sr Sheila Curran RSM will lead a day exploring the meaning and implications for being a synodal church on Saturday 7 September from 10am- 4 pm.

PEOPLE 1ST – WORK IT OUT PROJECT


Course to give you maths skills and confidence needed for everyday life and help you get employed. Essential Skills Numeracy; free for those unemployed; level 1 & 2 qualifications; mentoring and C.V. preparation. Classes are small and informal. People 1st 44-44 Railway Street, Lisburn. COME AND SING WITH US


If you are over 18 and would like to try singing with us then call up and sing at 12pm Mass on Sunday 30th June. We will rehearse from 11am on the Sunday. No pressure. No commitment. Just sing!

If you would like to join the choir thereafter, for the return in September, please give your name to the parish office or come and sing with us at our first rehearsal on Wednesday 28th August.

Rehearsals take place every Wednesday 7.15-8.30pm in the church.

St Patrick’s Senior Choir


St Patrick’s Senior Choir will break for the summer holidays soon. Their last Mass of this academic year will take place on Sunday 30th June at 12 noon. The choir will return for rehearsal on Wednesday 28th August.

BAPTISM PREPARATION TEAM


Congratulations and welcome to our new Baptism Team.

The team has undertaken a period of training and refflection within the Diocese on the Sacrament of Baptism and have also received instruction from Fr Eamon.

The team members are: Geraldine Clenaghan, Diane Rutledge, Katherine McLaughlin, Cliodhna Craig, Fedeilme McKenna, Mary & Sean O’Brien and Maria McDonald.

Two members of our Baptism Team will commence Baptism Preparation Classes this Thursday evening to families who have recently requested Baptism in the Parish. They will speak to the parents and godparents about the importance of the Sacrament of Baptism, the responsibilities and commitment in the ongoing faith development of the child and the role of godparents. The rites and symbols of Baptism will also be explained.
Classes will take place on a monthly basis.

Families will be contacted a few weeks before the Baptism date.
